Spring 2021 Animation Festival

The Spring 2021 Animation Festival showcases the work of students in printmaking courses, including Survey of Intaglio and Relief, Color Print Workshop, and Graduate Seminar course.

In the Relief Animation category, students explore the subject matter "Self" and investigate the relationship between space and time with two linocut prints. In the Monotype Animation category, students create a rhythm with narration and sound by utilizing the painterly printmaking technique and its texture.

The Experimental category features Tyler MFA's single channel animation work. It shows the process of expanding the format and visual vocabulary of each student's major and studio practice.

Throughout the time intensive process of animation this semester, students have shared their processes and exchanged ideas in class. Now, I would like to share these amazing animations with you all through Stella. Enjoy the show!
