Temple University Rome is delighted to inaugurate the 2023 programming in the Gallery of Art on Tuesday, January 17, with a new twist on the annual Faculty Exhibition. The distinguished Visual Arts and Architecture Faculty of Temple Rome will be joined by a guest artist selected by them: an artist with whom they share a professional exchange; who they admire or whose work is close to their aesthetic choices; someone who sheds a new light on their mutual artistic vocabulary.

This exhibition is not intended to be viewed as a curated group show, nor does it represent a thematic or stylistic investigation. Instead, it offers an insight into that beautiful, magical world of inspiration and creativity, of camaraderie and shared experiences—a studio visit or exhibition, or simply a convivial cappuccino—that are at the basis of artistic exchanges. The show furthermore sheds a light on the richness of the Roman artistic panorama and surveys the many mediums and materials of the contemporary artist, from figurative to abstract, painting, architecture and ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and the written word.
