Will Grimm is a fiber artist whose work examines identity and lived experiencethrough the language of textiles, reflecting on the everyday queer experience. Rooted in traditions of stitching and dyeing, his practice emphasizes improvisational techniques and labor-intensive processes that center personalstorytelling and material intuition. Using found, discarded, and otherwisescavenged fabrics (from his own closet as well as the streets of Philadelphia), Grimm holds deep gratitude for the role cloth plays in our lives and his practice is anchored in the belief that textiles are not only vessels for safety, but also powerful tools for reflection, connection, and community; he often refers to his pieces as diary entries. At the core, he believes in making for the sake of making, and making what will make him happy.
