Emma Pomeroy
As an artist, experimentation is at the heart of my practice. I learn the most through trying, failing, adjusting, and trying again — a process that has shaped both my work and my sense of resilience. Collaging is my ideal medium because it allows me to assemble meaning from fragments, layering ideas, textures, and materials into something new. Through this process, I explore how contrastive pieces can come together to form a coherent story, much like the way personal growth emerges from moments of uncertainty, discovery, and change.

Emma Pomeroy (she/her) is a primarily self-taught artist from Philadelphia, PA. As a child, she was never much of an artist. After experiencing her own art therapy, however, Emma fell in love with the arts as a therapeutic tool. As a transfer student, she embraces change and adaptability; both of which can be consistently seen throughout her work. In all of Emma's artwork, she maintains the philosophy of learning through experimentation.
